HOUSTON, Texas - October 2002 - Cell>Point L.L.C. is preparing
to commence clinical biokinetic and biodistribution studies at
The University of Texas M.D. Anderson Cancer Center on
99mTc-EC-Metronidazole, 99mTc-EC-Annexin V and
99mTc-EC-Cox-2. If results from the studies are as expected,Cell>Point
will prepare and submit IND applications with the FDA for the
three "kit" compounds. 99mTc-EC-Metronidazole
will be studied as a tumor hypoxia marker, 99mTc-EC-Annexin
V will be studied as a programmed cell death marker and
99m Tc-EC-Cox-2 will be studied as a tumor marker.
Cell>Point is also preparing to commence clinical biokinetic and
biodistribution studies on 99mTc-EC-Deoxyglucose for lymphoma.
If results from the study are as expected,Cell>Point will prepare and submit an
amendment to its 99m
Tc-EC-Deoxyglucose IND (63,698) to include lymphoma as an additional
indication.
