The third imaging agent will be 99mTc-EC-LHRH. The company will prepare and file an IND application with the FDA by the fourth quarter 2005. In addition, the company is planning to seek authorization from the Taiwanese regulatory authority to conduct a Phase I clinical trial in Taiwan to evaluate 99mTc-EC-LHRH as an agent for the diagnosis of endometriosis and ovarian cancer. LHRH is a luteinizinghormone releasing hormone that targets the overexpression of extrogen receptors in females. Following completion of the Phase I study, the company plans to conduct a combination Phase II/III study both in the U.S. and Taiwan. In addition, the company will submit an IND application for authorization to begin a Phase I study with the radiotherapeutic version of EC-LHRH to treat endometriosis and ovarian cancer .
